This yellowish species is characterized by the lack of a marginated bulb, and the peculiar banana like smell, which becomes unpleasantly "earthy" with age. It may resemble C. nanceiensis, which has a pure (but faint) smell of unripe bananas and more warm redbrown colours on the pileus.
