| This
coniferous forest variety of C. calochrous is characterized by the
persistently lilac gills and a blood red alcaline reaction on the
cap surface. It might be confused with C. calochrous
var. haasii, but the latter has lemon yellow basal mycelium, negative
alcaline reactions and posseses abundant patches of veil remnants
on the cap surface. |
