This beautiful species is very rare in Denmark.

The species is caracterized by the violaceous colours on the bulb margin, and a very intense pink colour reaction with bases. The cap can have colours almost reminding of bacon.

The frondose forest variety of C. dibaphus may look like C. arcuatorum, but has violet/reddish colours at least at the cap margin.
